Martin brings a wealth of project management, techno-commercial, and engineering capability to Arche Energy. He successfully draws from his significant oil and gas background to provide strong contributions in Arche’s techno-commercial studies on emerging clean energy technologies such as hydrogen, ammonia and carbon capture storage.
Martin is a Chartered Professional Engineer with 25 years' experience in the energy sector. His experience covers a wide range of greenfield and brownfield energy projects (including onshore and offshore oil and gas, LNG and CSG) in Australia and on international projects in the UK, Russia, Kazakhstan, the Middle East and Africa).
He is skilled in the development and execution of major projects involving complex stakeholder relations from planning and conceptual stages, through front end engineering design (FEED) and detailed design, to construction and commissioning, and handover to operations.
Martin is currently on secondment with Stanwell embedded in their Central Queensland Hydrogen (CQ-H2) Project, where he is the Hydrogen Development Lead. Martin has contributed to the project’s successful Planning Stage, with key areas of involvement including infrastructure stakeholder engagements (water/power/ports), technical scope preparation and bid evaluation.
Martin is strongly committed to health and safety in the workplace and the use of safe work systems. Martin is focused on client and stakeholder satisfaction and the quality of work.
Martin brings a meticulous discipline to the development phase of the projects that he works on to ensure that risks are understood, that budgets and schedules are maintained and that engineering processes are sound.
Key experience includes Lead Project roles with Shell and BG Group, and Engineering and Technical roles with Wood Group/PSN, KBR, IHS Markit and Santos.
