Richard is a Project Manager and Director and Principal Engineer with substantial project development and delivery experience around the world — in South Korea, Germany, India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE, Egypt, Russia, and Oman. Through this diverse experience, he has an excellent understanding of major infrastructure projects in complex environmental, economic, social, and legislative contexts and how the interplay of factors impacts the global energy transition.
He spent over five years in Seoul, South Korea as an integral part of major projects such as Posco Energy’s 789 Project at the Incheon LNG Combined Cycle Power Plant and the Dangjin 4, Jangmoon and Wirye Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Working with SK ecoplant in Uzbekistan, Richard helped develop a brownfield regulating station to support the country’s intermittent renewable generation, a diverse portfolio encompassing generation technologies for LNG and hydrogen, and SOC fuel cell technology.
Over his career, Richard has held a number of commissioning related roles, including site roles as commissioning engineer, electrical commissioning manager and overall commissioning manager for large gas turbine projects, and back office commissioning management roles for Siemens in Germany and on global projects, CoC and Commissioning coordination in the APAC region.
Richard’s creative problem solving skills, collaborative approach, and inter-cultural communication skills bring excellent value to Arche’s clients and projects.
