Imagine the engineering capability of Arche Energy, paired with leading edge GIS skills.
From the foundation of our core capabilities in energy, Arche is constantly expanding into new areas of expertise, like the specialised applications of GIS and data analytics developed by our key team member Abel Quintero.
In recognition of the expertise that Abel brings to Arche Energy, we are excited to announce that he is our new GIS and Data Analytics Manager. He will be continuing to grow this capability within Arche and also building a team.
GIS technology streamlines our days in so many ways: telling us which route has the least traffic, what real estate is available nearby, whether we’ll need an umbrella today, where the nearest café or post office is, how far we’ve walked today, when and where we took that holiday photo, and whether we’ll get to the supermarket before it closes.
In fact, GIS is so intrinsic to our everyday lives that we can take it for granted that we understand what it can do.
Abel and his team have access to all kinds of spatial and geographical datasets and the expertise apply it to each project individually. Some of the powerful applications of GIS and data analytics that the team can provide are:
- identifying the best sites for renewable energy projects
- optimising routes for energy distribution
- ascertaining how environmental factors may impact your project
- analysing land ownership and title
- aligning with compliance related matters
- cost minimisation
- technical and commercial project feasibility.
Here’s an example of how we can visualise layers of data. It’s interactive — play with the different layers, zoom in and out, see what you discover.
