This 1,100km high-voltage transmission line is a nation-building project in North Queensland’s Sustainable Resources Corridor. It begins in the Burdekin region south of Townsville and ends in Mt Isa on the land of the Kalkadoon people.
The transmission line will connect the North West Minerals Province, the Hughenden Renewable Energy Hub, and the NEM. CopperString is a vital part of the Queensland SuperGrid transmission backbone being delivered under the $62 billion Queensland Energy and Jobs plan.
Arche Energy’s services included:
- Overseeing the technical design
- Providing power flow, corridor selection, and construction and logistics studies to ensure stability and reliability of the system
- Managing the tendering and contracting processes allowing construction to commence.
